NOVA Digs Out …

The dawn was cool and clear in Fairfax this morning.  A steady rain was still falling, but the heavy winds have passed.

I took a brief drive around our neighborhoods.  Several limbs down but no roadways blocked.  The heavy stuff has passed us by and headed up the Coast.

According to Dominion’s “Outage Map,” there are about 3,000 homes currently without power in the 34th Senate District. Most appear to be concentrated in Kings Park West or other areas in western Braddock with tall trees.

No outages in Chantilly or Centreville.  A few in Fairfax City and Vienna.  About 10% of the impact of the “derecho” back in June, when almost half our residents lost power.

If you are without power, please contact Dominion at 1-866-DOM-HELP (or 1-866-366-4357).   If you are not getting any response, please feel free to call my Senate office at 703-349-3361.

Let us know how we can be helpful.  Chap
