while traveling abroad:

1.  “The City of London is doing a great job with the Olympics.”

2.  “I’m not here to promote myself, just support the U.S. athletes.”

3.  “Having been involved with the 2002 Winter Games, I appreciate the difficult tasks involved.”

4.   “Jerusalem is a holy city to three historic faiths.  All should be free to worship there.”

5.   “The U.S. should recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel as part of a comprehensive regional solution.”

6.   “Israel is a democracy and long-time friend and ally of the United States.  Of course, we will stand with her and defend her against any attacks.”

7.   “The fact that Palestinian families earn less than 10% of their Israeli neighbors is a serious concern and reflects a lack of opportunity.”

8.  “The Middle East is a home to many great cultures.  I’m learning more about them every day.”

9.  “Traveling abroad is great but I miss the wonderful people in the key swing states of Ohio, Florida and Virginia.”
