I’m headed to Staunton tomorrow a.m. for the annual Senate Finance Retreat.
Unique to the Senate, the Retreat is an opportunity for all members to receive a staff briefing on the state economy and its impact on our state budget. Every department will be analyzed for possible cost reductions or overruns.
It’s also a chance for me to focus solely on politics for the first time since this April. I’ll try to get more posts up on the state economy and the upcoming 2011 session once I’m down there.
