“Everybody’s working for the weekend …”
Yet another mediocre Top 40 hit from my youth. Definitely the case for me. I’ve been in and out of trial for the past three weeks. Just trying to get a break from work. This weekend can’t come fast enough.
Not much time for blogging or updating ORS. However, two major events this weekend:
Sunday at 8 a.m. I will be at Patriot Harley Davidson at Fairfax Circle for the Memorial Day “Ride of the Patriots.” This event is now approaching its 12th anniversary and is an institution in the City and for those folks who line the route along Rte. 50 into Arlington (and eventually the Pentagon). Come early for the parade down Lee Highway.
If you’re a Harley rider or a sympathizer, I’ll see you there.
Then Sunday afternoon I will be at the “Viva Vienna” celebration in Vienna. I’m sharing a booth with Vienna’s current Delegate (and our next AG) Steve Shannon. Governor candidate Creigh Deeds will be meeting me at 3:15 pm. I will walk him around Church Street. Give us a shout-out.
(Note that Creigh just got the coveted Wash Post endorsement on May 22, which is a big deal)
For everyone else, have a great Memorial Day weekend.
P.S. Thanks to everyone who came out last Wednesday to the Hard Times Cafe for our annual “Young Lawyers” event. Over 225 attendees which is a new record (or close to it). Once we collect all our pledges, we should surpass our fundraising goal of $50,000. Your support is greatly, greatly appreciated.
