Okay, this is one of my last posts on national politics this summer. To paraphrase Rodney Dangerfield, I’ve stopped doing political jokes … too many of them were getting elected.
Don’t know where to begin on this one. Alaska’s population is half the size of Fairfax County. (Is it too late for the Dems to nominate Sharon Bulova?)
Hard to see how this helps the “experience” critique. And people thought my political base was small when I ran out of Fairfax City! That’s four times the size of the town where Mrs. Palin was mayor but two years ago.
Anyway, I’ve stopped making predictions. They’re all wrong anyway. This will be a fascinating race for the next 70 days.
As for me, I’ve got a full Labor Day schedule in the community and then a number of trips to Richmond in September. I’ve finished door-knocking down in Lake Braddock and will be back in Vienna & Oakton for the balance of the fall.
I’ve also been reading through the Governor’s revised projections for fiscal year 2009. It’s not good at all. I will get some info out on that once I have my thoughts together.
Have a great weekend.
