We’re down in Middlesex County today at my family’s farm on the Rapahannock River. My great-grandfather was from Saluda and my mother’s family still keeps the family farm down here.
Be very careful driving down Rte. 17 into the Rivah country. I received a ticket yesterday from a Caroline County Deputy Sheriff on 17 South. We were driving the 1999 Grand Caravan classic with 3 kids and weekend gear.
It happens (so to speak), although a wrongly-placed highway sign did not help the cause. It’s a long story and I won’t say anymore on the grounds that further blogging will only incriminate me.
Tomorrow, I’ll be back in Fairfax.
Thousands of bikers from around the U.S. will be in Fairfax City at Patriot Harley Davidson to celebrate Memorial Day and our great patriots with the Ride to The Wall.
I’ll be at Captain Pell’s at 7 a.m. meeting my friends from Fairfax HOG who are riding in the annual parade. Hopefully, I can catch a ride.
