As usual, he hits it out of the park in today's Post.

Question:  Why are Northern Virginians always being asked to pay higher taxes, while out-of-state motorists literally get a free ride in this state?

OK, Chap, so how goes it for transportation funding? How about a creative plan to take cars off the roads and commuters off of Metro? Can we leverage technology to help us do work at home? Can the state do a better job to fund telework centers? We know that the state offers tens of thousands of dollars to employers who engage in telework but this seems to be a well kept secret.

Irv: It is a well-kept secret. The Post had a good article recently on the surge in transit use with rising gas prices. Did not mention telework. I agree that many jobs (particularly small business) can be run from home. It's hard in my practice to have an associate or paralegal that's not here physically.
