Weekly Highlights

Being back in Fairfax actually means more things to do, events to attend, etc.  Plus I'm back in the office every day trying to catch up on cases for 50+ clients.  Here are some highlights of the week:

Monday, March 31st:  Attended a fundraiser for Leslie Byrne for Congress in Oakton.  U.S. Senator Jim Webb was the guest of honor and Don McEachin (D-Henrico) came up from Richmond to help out.  I spoke on Leslie's behalf.  During the speech it occurred to me, can you name the three living Virginians who beat an incumbent to win a seat in the House and Senate?

Wednesday, April 2nd:  Had a breakfast meeting with the Mayor of Fairfax City and Delegate Bulova to discuss issues relating to GMU's new hotel and housing.  Being a college town is ... always an adventure.

Thursday, April 3rd:  Attended Caps game with Sharon and three kids.  Great victory.  This team is red hot.

Friday, April 4th:  Court appearance to enter final order after a  hotly contested trial from last week.  Prior to court, I was on the phone settling another case which is set for trial in June.

This weekend, it's back to Richmond (I'm running in the Monument Ave 10K) and then Sunday I'm flying to Wise to speak at the Alternative Energy Conference.  Will be back Monday night.

Isn't it great to be out of session.
