More Attacks (Rebutted)

The past few days, we've received several mailings from my opponent attacking me for seeking public office so I can raise everyone's taxes.
Ho hum. Don't call us, we'll call you. Next!
The hysterical part of her literature is where Senator Devolites-Davis claims credit for "holding the line on taxes" and "passing a transportation bill without a general tax increase."
Is this the same person that voted this year to create seven new taxes only for Fairfax County? Is this the same person who last year (unsuccessfully) tried to raise the sales tax on all Northern Virginians?
Hmmm.
Anyway, it's hard to keep track of all the attacks. So we've created a website www.thestraightrecord.com to set the record straight on both of our voting records. You will find some interesting contrasts.

Chap - I appreciate your campaign staying above the negativity - Every time I get a negative slick sheet (almost every day) from Davis, your standing just keeps going up. We CANT HAVE POLITICS AS USUAL ANYMORE. Dem/Rep - We are all Americans, We are all Virginians, and we show respect for each other -- No matter what.
yesterday I got a call from the Democratic Party asking that I vote for you @ Gerry Connelly. I explained I wanted to but was very dismayed over the ads I had been receiving from Jeanniemarie about you and your stand on many of the issues including, but not limited to, estate taxes, car tax, gun control, Bechtel. I told your caller that since I had heard no rebuttal I did not know what to think. I was sent to your web site. If you do not want to run a negative campaign, at least get a mailer out with your website advertising your rebuttal to these attacks. They are really hurting you, if I am example. I am a long time Democrat but many of these issues are important to me.
