Transportation Bill Amended

The Governor has handed down his amendments to the Republican transportation bill.  I haven't had a chance to read the actual text yet.

According to the press, there is an admirable focus on transit projects (which is good).  There is also a reduction (but not elimination) on the amount of general funds spent.

As far as the remaining details, I guess I'll wait to read it.  One thing is sure -- the conversation on this issue is just getting started.

Thanks, Chap, for the update. It's refreshing to hear you speak about reading the bill before submitting a detailed response. If our national representatives had followed that protocol, the country may have been able to avoid the current US Attorney firing scandal and get some real work done.
