Back at the Grill

It was a quiet night last night.  A few people showed.  Nobody drank anything.  And Dick Saslaw was ambivalent about the need for more Democrats in Richmond.

Or not.  We had a great crowd at the Firehouse Grill for the Blue Dominion PAC event.  Thanks to everyone that came out.  We registered 150+ people at the front table.  So including the inevitable "walk in" factor, I would estimate at least 200 attendees. Fortunately, the fire marshal was not one of them.

A quick list of state electeds include Saslaw, Whipple, Deeds, Herring, Moran (Brian), Caputo, Sickles, Brink, Shannon, Bulova (David), Bulova (Sharon), and Larry Roberts from the Governor's office.  Special thanks to former State Senator Emilie Miller for being there.  Also a shout-out to the Fairfax County and George Mason Young Democrats for being well-represented.

Lots of speechifying, which battled for attention with the NCAA basketball on the overhead screen.  Lots of money collected.  Lots of good cheer in the wake of Jim Webb's victory.  It was good to see old and new friends.

I'm now preparing for a Federal jury trial that starts Monday.  Stay tuned for more...

I am a Republican and always remain a republican; however, I am sick and tired of the Davis machine. Due to his winning record, he and his machine has become arrogant and patronizing. Maybe they need a taste of humble pie, just like the Allen folks. Although I do not intend to switch sides, what can I do to aide in your defeat of JDD?
